There are an infinite number of tetrastix designs that can be modeled and combined to make interesting structures (figures 19-29). The possible options in coloration, end treatment, pattern, material and shape, offer many opportunities for creativity and play.

Exploring different patterns with tetrastix can be an enjoyable way to create art, and build spatial intuition. A few simple polygons and symbols are shown (figures 20-25) to highlight the variety of shapes that can be used to construct a symmetric tetrastix arrangement. The selected pattern is repeated on each axis, these are shown simplified on a square grid in figure 26.

Now that a few designs have been illustrated, in the next blog post we will look at how to combine tetrastix in order to create larger structures.
